Portable Photo Cart

I’ve seen several photo cart solutions in the past, but they were always for bigger commercial productions, mostly video shoots. In my case, I needed something to carry my light stands, tripod, modifiers (umbrellas, softboxes, & reflector), & sand bags. Something that can be close to my side and not too big that I would worry about items sticking out too much or running into things if I had to wheel it behind me. Plus with my experience, whenever you are going somewhere specifically for a shoot your access points are extremely challenging with the amount of gear you need to bring along. Thus comes in this Foldable Utility Cart from Amazon. The form factor was perfect and the amount of weight it could hold made it a winner! The dimensions of the bin are 15.3” W x 17.7” L x 16.9”H (76 L capacity), with its folded dimensions being only 19.9” W x 17.7” L x 4.9” H. In addition to its small form factor, it can carry up to 130 lbs in the base and more than double that using the lid at 295 lbs, which is great for using as a step stool in the instance you may need to get a higher angle of a shot or it can be used as a chair and wheeled around for lower shots. The 360° wheels are great for maneuvering in tight places and the brake system allows you to go down ramps with confidence or lock in place when needed. So far this has saved me several trips back and forth to the car when deciding what equipment I need to bring for the first setup and has allowed me to bring EVERYTHING I need in one go with the addition of a camera backpack that houses my camera equipment/lights.
